Small Estate Planning Law Firm looking for an experienced tax professional. This person will be involved directly with our estate planning clients to meet their diverse tax needs in the preparation of individual and fiduciary tax returns (1040s and 1041s). January through April this person will be primarily responsible for the preparation and/or review of client tax returns. However, the position would be for year-round employment with other duties outside of tax season. We don’t expect this position to work overtime at any point during the year and in most cases will work 36 hours per week and paid as full-time.

Responsibilities include:
- Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email.
- Prepare complete and accurate personal and fiduciary tax returns.
- Tax research as needed.
- Respond to clients’ questions regarding tax returns.
- Respond to clients’ IRS notices.
- Work with other departments within our office of 15 or so employees.
- Meet with financial services and legal clients for tax planning strategies.
- Help with estate and fiduciary accountings.
- Client intake and bookkeeping.
Requirements
- Experience in personal and fiduciary tax preparation is required
- Comfort working with clients directly in person, over the phone, virtually, and through email.
- Willing to work independently, but as a team managed by firm owners and working with other tax professionals during tax season
- CPA or Enrolled Agent Certification is preferred, but not required
